Introduction:
Sports Kickstart is the premier provider of special sporting events in Sydney. We were delighted when we were approached to organise an Swimming Carnival for Home Schooled Children. Our athletics carnival received amazing reviews and NOW, AT THIS NEW VENUE, THIS ONE WILL BE JUST AS GREAT TOO!
How it works
Participants will preferably take part in as many events as possible. DO NOT WORRY IF YOUR CHILD IS NOT A STRONG SWIMMER! THE IDEA IS FOR PARTICIPATION AND FUN!
A timetable will be available on the day and every effort will be made for ALL participants to have a go in as many events as possible! All swimmers will get ribbons on the day!
Times:
Friday, March 16, 2012. Events will start at 10.15am and finish at 12.30pm.
Venue:
Ruth Everuss Aquatic Centre, 1 Church Street, Lidcombe
Events:
- 10m Anystroke (Developing Swimmers Only)
- 10m/ 25m Freestyle
- 10m/25m Breaststroke
- 10m/25m Backstroke
- 25m Butterfly (older groups only)
- 50m Races for able swimmers
- Fun Races (developing swimmers)
- Fun Relays if there is time
- The program will be modified depending on numbers and ability!!
What can my child do if they are not Swimming:
They can choose to be either a photographer or journalist to help put together the Swimmers Daily. Please note this in the "Additional Information" section when signing in. Journalists/photographers will be asked, if possible, to write a small article which will be put into the Swimmers Daily. Photographers need to supply their own camera with a compact flash card.
Ages:
4 to 17 years. Competitors will be broken into different age groups.
Cost:
PLEASE NOTE: If you are a member of SHEN, you receive a $5 discount per child courtesy of SHEN but you must enrol by Tuesday 13th March . And when enrolling provide your SHEN membership name in the 'Parents/ Care Giver' section on the enrolment page as it will cross-referenced with SHEN's records .
Without SHEN membership:
- $30. If you have more than 1 child enrolled, in your family, the 2nd child is $25, the 3rd child $20 (as is the 4th, 5th, etc).
With SHEN membership:
- $25. If you have more than 1 child enrolled, in your family, the 2nd child is $20, the 3rd child $15 (as is the 4th, 5th, etc).
A $2 additional charge will be required at entry to the Ruth Everuss Aquatic Centre from everyone including spectators on the day.
CHILDREN ARE WELCOME TO A FREE SWIM AFTER CONCLUSION OF THE CARNIVAL UNTIL 1PM
WITH PARENTAL SUPERVISION NOT SPORTS KICKSTART'S.
Please Bring:
- 2 drink bottles - one frozen and one cold.
- Snacks and Lunch if appropriate. (No peanut products please).
- Swimmers and Towell
- Goggles.
- Smile

If you would like to pay by cheque please make it out to Skillster and send it to 19 Harford St North Ryde 2113. Please include your child's name and which clinic they would like to attend. No $3 administration fee as long as you sign in online.
Please note that places are not fully reserved until payment has been received.
