Introduction:

Sports Kickstart is the premier provider of special sporting events in Sydney. We were delighted when we were approached to organise an Athletics Carnival for Home Schooled Children.

How it works

It is heaps of fun! There is a huge range of events from fun relays to assault courses to 100m sprint plus some jumping and throwing activities too!! Participants will preferably take part in all events with a timetable drawn up for different age events. Please let us know if participants do not want to do any specific events on the day. It is no problem as they rest for a little while.

Times:

Events will start at 10.00am and finish at 2pm. PLEASE BE THERE 9.30AM to sign all the participants in.

Venue:

Phillips Park-corner of Nicholas St, Dalley St and Princes St, Lidcombe

Events:

• Standing Long Jump
• Shot Put
• Javelin
• 50m Sprint
• 100m Sprint
• Plus additional fun events, relays and assault course.
• Younger particpants may complete in a revised, age appropriate activity.

What can my children do who do not want to take part in the events themselves:

They can choose to be either a photographer or journalist to help put together the Athletics Daily. Please note this in the "Additional Information" section when signing in. Journalists/photographers still pay the same fee as the athletes as we will have a staff member dedicated to helping them produce the Athletics Daily. Please ensure they make themselves know at the sign in desk as 'journalist''. Photographers need to supply their own camera with a compact flash card.

Ages:

4 to 17 years. Competitiors will be broken into different age groups.

Cost:

PLEASE NOTE: If you are a member of SHEN, you receive a $5 discount per child courtesy of SHEN but you must enrol by Friday 17th September. And when enrolling provide your SHEN membership name in the 'Parents/ Care Giver' section on the enrolment page as it will cross-referenced with SHEN's records .

Without SHEN membership:

• $25. If you have more than 1 child enrolled, in your family, the 2nd child is $20, the 3rd child $15 (as is the 4th, 5th, etc).

With SHEN membership:

• $20. If you have more than 1 child enrolled, in your family, the 2nd child is $15, the 3rd child $10 (as is the 4th, 5th, etc).

Please Bring:

• 2 drink bottles - one frozen and one cold.
• Snacks and Lunch if appropriate. (No peanut products please). The Homeschooling Group will have a canteen and coffee van available.
• Running shoes or sneakers.
• Clothing appropriate for athletics.
• Hat and Sunscreen.
• Smile

If you would like to pay by cheque please make it out to Skillster and send it to 19 Harford St North Ryde 2113. Please include your child's name and which clinic they would like to attend. No $3 administration fee as long as you sign in online.

Please note that places are not fully reserved until payment has been received.
